Setting up a printer is easy and requires only a few steps. Follow the guide below to install your printer successfully.
Make sure your printer is properly connected to a power source and your computer or network.
For USB printers, connect the USB cable to your computer.
For Wi-Fi printers, ensure your printer and computer are on the same network.
Download and install the necessary drivers from the printer manufacturer’s website.
On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners and click Add a printer.
On Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click + to add the printer.
To enable silent printing in Firefox, follow these steps:
Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar.
Accept the warning message and proceed.
Search for print.always_print_silent.
Set its value to true by double-clicking it.
Restart Firefox to apply the changes.
Explanation: The print.always_print_silent setting in Firefox controls whether the print dialog appears before printing. If set to true, printing will happen automatically without a confirmation window. If set to false, Firefox will display the print dialog each time before printing. You can toggle this setting by double-clicking it in about:config.
